IEEE-style Bio

Dr. Fang Gong received his M.S. degree in Computer Science from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China in 2008, the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering at University of California, Los Angeles in 2012. His research interest lies in the area of advanced design and optimization of VLSI circuit and system, probabilistic modeling and statistical analysis, and pervasive computing for mobile healthcare.

In recognition of his research, more than 26 of his papers have been published in the leading international conferences (e.g., Design Automation Conference (DAC), Asia South Pacific Design Automation Conference (ASPDAC), International Symposium on Physical Design (ISPD), etc.) and top-tier peer-reviewed journals, such as IEEE Transactions on Computer-Aided Design of Integrated Circuits and Systems (TCAD), IEEE Transactions on Information Technology in BioMedicine (TITB), IEEE Design and Test of Computer (D&T), and etc. His research has been featured in major media reports from EE Times (Feb. 2011) and published in the book titled "Statistical Performance Analysis and Modeling Techniques for Nanometer VLSI Designs" (Springer, 2012).

Moreover, Dr. Fang Gong has been invited to present his research in many premier conferences and leading-edge industrial companies, serve as a session chair for top-tier international conferences, and regularly review research articles for most highly-ranked journals in the field. He was also a recipient of the prestigious IBM Ph.D. Fellowship in 2012 for his extraordinary research achievements.
